CITEA and CITEC

Who and What Are They???

CITEA is a statewide user organization that advocates and promotes Industrial Technology Education and Vocational Education through professional development, social events, and political advocacy.

CITEA, or California Industrial and Technology Education Association, is currently celebrating its 77th year in service to the state's ITE and VocEd teachers.  Details about CITEA and the CITEA Foundation (CITEAF) can be found here.

CITEC, or California Industrial Technology Education Consortium, is a group run under contract to the California Department of Education, Career and Technical Education Unit, that develops and provides professional workshops and presentations for professional development in the state.  CITEC does not have membership and does not advocate for ITE or VocEd or hold social functions.  Although CITEA and CITEC cooperate in some professional development activities, CITEC is completely independent of CITEA.  For information about CITEC, contact CITEC staff member David D'Aloisio at DAloisio_David@lacoe.edu or by phone at (562) 922-6729. The CITEC website is at:
