Our Mission

• To provide a formal organization by which consensus may be derived toward the resolution of problems peculiar and common to the roles of drafting educators and members of industry in California.
• To provide a forum for and a a vehicle of communication among the drafting educators and members of industry in California.
• To actively participate in the legislative process as it affects drafting education in California.
• To assist in the implementation of statewide cooperative efforts for the improvement, increased efficiency, and better articulation of drafting education.
• To develop personal and professional growth for drafting educators.
• To advocate and encourage high standards of teaching competency, adequate school facilities, and other facotrs vital to effective learning.
• To cooperate with industry and other agencies in planning and providing effective instruction in drafting at all levels.
• To encourage drafting dedication to pursue contemporary knowledge in the various fields of drafting.
• To provide opportunities for stimulating interest in the improvement of education through inservice programs, workshops, conferences, and regular mailing of a newsletter in cooperation with the Center for Technology Education.
